I am Stefan, from Winterthur in Switzerland, and I am 23 years old. I am studying Mechanical Engineering in Zurich, but decided to take a year off from university between my Bachelor and my Master's degree in order to work and spend some time exploring the beauties of our world. I spent a wonderful summer in Bosnia and Herzegovina for an internship organised by IAESTE, worked for five months for an engineering company in Zurich well and currently I am spending some time cycling South America.
And I'm Esther, Stefan's 25 year old sister, born as well in Winterthur, Switzerland. I just finished my master in human movement sciences at the ETH Zurich and enjoy to spent as much time as possible outdoors. Most of my free time I spend either in the gym, be it practicing gymnastics myself or coaching, or climbing, kayaking, hiking, or skiing. As long as it has something to do with sports, preferably outdoors (apart from gymnastics), you'll most likely get me to join! ;-)
I also enjoy travelling a lot and after having lived in Mexico and Canada and traveled the western US, I dreamed of getting to know South America as well. And well, one day it occurred to me that traveling in a different manner than what I've done so far, namely by bike, might be a great experience. So now by biking through South America I'm combining two things I've been wanting to do for a long time...
